DETAILS: I have never seen anything quite like these pants before - I am thinking 70s vintage, but I'm not completely confident. The pants are medium rise, and fitted through the midthigh. From there, the pantlegs flow into elephant bells via umbrella pleating - a most interesting effect. The pantleg hem is finished with serging, probably to avoid the pleat disruption that would be caused by turning the edge under for a typical hem.
